Etobicoke General Hospital – 35Years of History

In the 1960s, Etobicoke – now part of the City of Toronto – was a separate borough west of the city. At the time, most advanced health services were concentrated in teaching hospitals in the downtown core, and like those in other suburban communities, residents of north Etobicoke wanted a hospital closer to home.
