| My recent stay in the emergency and cardiology departments of your hospital was excellent. I felt really well cared for from the hospital porters, technicians, cleaner, nurses and of course the doctors. My doctor at home was most impressed by the number of tests I received in such a short time, as I was. |

Both Marlene and Holly are shining examples of how nursing care should be administered. |

| Our Mother was brought by ambulance to the emergency department and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) later that morning. The level of care, empathy and professionalism provided throughout her stay was nothing short of exemplary. Without exception, the nurses, RT's and physicians cared for our Mother as though she was their mother. They provided this care proactively and tenderly attended to all of her needs. These health care professionals also worked with the family members in managing her care. They patiently responded to our questions and provided objective details of her status which afforded us the opportunity to make informed decisions and to actively participate in her care. |

| Recently I attended the emergency department at Etobicoke General Hospital with my daughter. We were sent to the fast services unit where Ingrid, nurse on duty, and Dr. Kamil Haider attended to her. |

| I was greeted at the entrance by a cheerful individual who pointed us in the direction of the triage desk. The lady managing the desk was cheerful and helpful. She finished with me within two minutes when I was directed to another desk for further information and the installation of a wrist band. We took a seat in one of the comfortable waiting areas, and approximately 25 minutes later we were called to the next area for treatment. I was attended by a most pleasant nurse — Bob — who prepped me for the doctor (check of vitals, etc.). The doctor arrived promptly — this was now approximately 50 minutes after walking in the door of emergency — and proceeded to order various tests and procedures. During ‘Hercy’s” time in the BCH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit you welcomed us with open arms and have led us through many unfortunate, sleepless nights. |

| Just a note of thanks to both Dr. Cheng in Anaesthesia and Anna Galloro in day surgery post-op care. They went far out of their way to accommodate me with a cortisone shot with no advance notice and treated me exceedingly well. It got me back on my feet and enabled me to enjoy a weekend with my kids. We appreciate the terrific care. |

| The nursing staff in the NICU were friendly - the utmost professionals. They are people who genuinely care for their precious little patients (and their families). Leaving our baby at the hospital each night was always difficult but it was made so much easier knowing what great care he was in. They are all truly special people. |
